Pre-Scheduling Sessions and Breaks

Ability to pre-set session start and end times, breaks, and categories BEFORE initiating them in the app. This would help with planning/time-blocking in the app itself without having to sync with premade calendar items. With options to create a template for days of the week, i.e. Template 1 pre-scheduled time blocks for: M, W, F. Template 2 pre-scheduled time blocks for: T, Th. And include options in each template for which days of the week to use them on.

This use case is not planned for Session future. Session was designed to be one off timer—not for strict pomodoro method that work in sequence.
If this use case is a deal breaker, then there are many other app that does exactly this.

I would love this so much! Especially with the existing Spotify music integration, I could stop using shortcuts to schedule different playlists for my routines and tasks. It's incredibly effective but so clunky

It would be great to set up daily/weekly recurring tasks/sessions like Apple Calendar permits. So for instance, instead of manually creating each session, I could create a session at 2pm every MWF or MTWTF or something. Or maybe another to do it would be to block out the day devoted to a goal and then have this broken down automatically into sessions, breaks, etc. Is there a way to do this?

You might want to give this feature a vote (if you haven't yet): https://session-transulcent.canny.io/feature-request/p/pre-scheduling-sessions-and-breaks

I love this idea! Although for my it's mostly because it would remind me of what I had planned to do / prioritized for the day...
I don't know if this is similar or should be a separate feature, but even just having a list of "things to do today" without necessarily scheduling them would be sufficient, so that I could set that up at the beginning of the day, and then start a session with a single click on any of those items.
That would lower the bar for "scheduling" and figuring out how reconcile the schedule with the sessions themselves (which could be a time waster). But Katherine, are you thinking this would be helpful because it would automatically enable website blocking and turn on your music, etc. at the specified time (i.e. automatically enter the distraction-free "DND zone")? Or would you still want to start the sessions manually?

Joe Marty: This could be set on top of categories, as goals. I'd be perfect to be able to have "Goals" work 40h/week with different categories if wanted, recurring or not.
